Exploration Guides

We're all explorers. You just need the right guide.

I just discovered my apps has been mirrored from the official Android Market onto at least two other sites.  Since it’s a free app, I don’t really mind, as long as it’s completely unaltered, but remember that you won’t get the updates as quick, since, at least at this time, I’m only putting new apps and updates on the Android Market directly.  What experiences do people have with these mirror sites?

I think I finished the Waterloo State Recreation Area app, in v1.0.2 of the app, last night.  This version of the executable is better at recovering from some of Android’s odd (brilliant, but odd) memory management when the app goes into the background (multi-threading race condition problems, for any computer programmers out there).  I’ll be abusing it a lot today to make sure I can’t crash it.  If all goes well, it’ll be up today or tomorrow on Android Market, and I’ll be working to convert the other 3 apps to the 1.0.2 engine, as well, which should make them more stable, although I’m pretty sure only the Pinckney State Recreation Area app is impacted.
