Destination: Waterfall – North America

Everyone loves waterfalls.

North America has thousands upon thousands of waterfalls.

Name 20.

Can’t do it, can you?  Although we all love waterfalls, most people regularly only see a tiny handful.  Destination: Waterfall -North America initially includes over 5,000 waterfalls throughout the US and Canada, with more to be added later.  Even that 5,000 is just a fraction of the total waterfalls you can visit.  With descriptions, real-time driving directions, and links to more information, Destination: Waterfall – North America can help you name 20, 200, 2,000, or more waterfalls.

What’s the best way to visit a waterfall?  On foot?  By canoe or kayak?  Both!  The experience and views are different, but both are great.

When should you visit?  Nearly everyone visits waterfalls during the spring, summer, or fall.  Those times are definitely good times to visit, but don’t neglect winter.  Especially for those waterfalls with mist or spray, winter turns even small waterfalls into ice castles.

There’s no bad way to visit a waterfall, and no wrong time.  The only way to do it wrong is to not visit a waterfall at all.
