Stony Creek Metropark Hacking Tower

Near the end of Stony Creek, were it joins the Clinton River, is a hacking tower.  This tower was used for several years as part of a project to reintroduce ospreys to the area.  Osprey chicks were hand-raised here, and eventually released.  The hope is that they will return as adults and breed, ensuring that the osprey population grows.  The tower can be accessed most easily from a spur off the East Lake Trail.
