Waterloo State Recreation Area – Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center

Waterloo’s Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center is located at 17030 Bush Road between Pierce and McClure roads.  Formerly known as The Geology Center, a recent renovation has greatly improved and expanded this facility to be a center for nature, history, archeology, geology, and more.

A visit to the Discovery Center is a great way to start your visit to Waterloo State Recreation Area.  Whether you’re looking to hike (The Waterloo-Pinckney Trail passes by here, while many of the other trails in the park radiate out from here), trying to find out about the history of the area, or just looking for a helpful ranger to talk to about other idea for your visit, this is the place to start.
