Waterloo Farm Museum

The Waterloo Farm Museum, operated by the Waterloo Area Historical Society, began life as a farm in July 1844.  It remained in operation until 1960, when ownership passed to the state.  In January, 1967, the Waterloo Area Historical Society was formed to operate the farm as a museum, showcasing the long history of farming in the area.  Today, visitors can see the farm throughout the summer, and attend special events at the Museum.  While not a part of Waterloo State Recreation Area, it is immediately adjacent to the park, and is well worth a visit.
